I like to take a practical approach to design. Function always comes first and great design is what develops from combining functionality and visualization.
I get most of my inspiration from the wonderful people I work with, namely clients but also the craftspeople who bring a unique specialized eye to each project. It only takes one idea to spark a unique space whether it be a stunning piece of granite, unique piece of hardware, amazing handmade tile or classic millwork but spinning that idea into reality is where patience, knowledge and experience find their place.
Being fairly practical in my own life, I feel that everything in a room should have a purpose. Every cabinet should be built specifically to hold the items meant to be placed inside and every piece of furniture should have a specific function or better yet, multiple functions. Every material for a purpose, every accessory for a personal reason.
Our homes should promote our health, happiness and our legacy no matter how large or small.
